EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA x� � � � * � x� �x � � * x� * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 8th day of October 2001 at 6:30 p.m. The following members were present: And the following members were absent: Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. � RESOLUTION APPROVING A METROPOLITAN COUNCIL LIVALBLE COMM[7NITIES GRANT TO PERRY NOLAND OF ROSEVILLE AUTO REPARI LOCATED AT 2150 HAMLINE AVEN [JE NORTH FOR BOULEVARD LANDSCAPING AND SIDEWALKS 1N THE PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY WHEREAS. The City of Roseville received a grant from the Metropolitan Council Livable Communities Demonstration Fund for the development and implementation of the Cornerstone Program ("Program") at three key neighborhood intersections in the City of Roseville, and WHEREAS, the guidelines of the Program encourage placing the buildings closer to the street, allowing more open space as a buffer, providing parking along side or behind the building and increasing nedestrian flow by installing sidewalks and additional landscaping in the public right of waX, and WHEREAS, Roseville Auto Repair located at 2150 North Hamline Ave has received a variance to complete parking lot improvements and boulevard additions to be completed to increase the aesthetic appeal of the small neighborhood business, and WHEREAS, $150,000 of the Metropolitan Council's Livable Communities Demonstration Fund is designated for landscaping and sidewalk improvements in the public right-of-way as part of the Cornerstone Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Roseville City Council does hereby approve a Metropolitan Livable Communities Grant to Perry Noland of Roseville Auto Repair located at 2150 North Hamline Avenue in Roseville in the amount of $11,350. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the grant funds will only be distributed for those actual expenses incurred in connection with boulevard landscaping and sidewalks in the public right-of-way.
