����� Date: 12/11/O1 <br />Work Session Item: B-1 <br />Roseville City Council <br />Monday, November 19, 2001 <br />6:30 p.m. <br />Roseville City Council Chambers <br />Minutes <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:32 p.m. <br />Beets called the roll, all members, Maschka, Mastel, Goedeke, Klausing and Kysylyczyn were <br />present. <br />Announcements: <br />L Kysylyczyn noted the presence of Council Members Elect Kough and Schroeder. <br />2. Cedarholm Golf Course is closed for the season. Gift Certificates for playing golf are <br />available at Parks and Recreation at Fairview Community Center, 19 10 County Road B(65 1- <br />415-2112) <br />3. Meeting Schedule <br />a) Ne�t Meeting. Monday, November 26, 2001, normal business meeting. Among other <br />things, we will address the Council calendar for December. <br />b) For the meetings in December, Council proposed combined work session and regular <br />meetings. Special Note: On December 17�', we propose a coffee and cake reception in the Lobby <br />of City Hall for outgoing Council Members John Goedeke and Barb Mastel, starting at 5:30 p.m. <br />Everyone is invited. <br />1. Briefing Regarding Possible Improvement of Concordia Academy, 2400 Dale <br />Street North, and Their Request for IDA Bond <br />Randy Lowe, Principal of Concordia Academy, reviewed the history of construction at <br />the Academy. The proposed addition would be the third in 10 years. It would extend <br />from the east side of the current building. Primary uses for the new addition include a <br />computer/technology center, including Internet distance learning labs plus classrooms. <br />The addition is projected to cost approximately $3 million. Goedeke asked about the <br />specific location and size of the proposed addition. Klausing asked about the instruction <br />that would take place in the addition. Kysylyczyn asked about parking and the impact of <br />the new addition on enrollment. <br />2. GIS — The 2001 Annual Report: How Shared Information Assists all Departments <br />This matter was continued, without objection, in light of technical difficulties and the <br />length of the agenda. <br />
