106.05 Finance. The Finance Department Department shall be under the direction of the <br />City Manager and Finance Director and is responsible for bud�et, investment, accounting, and <br />other financial services. The Finance Director shall serve as Treasurer for the Cit� in addition to <br />other assigned duties. <br />106.06 Fire. There is established a Fire Department consisting of a Fire Chief to be appointed <br />bv the Cit.�ger and other subordinate officers and personnel as determined. The <br />Department shali be responsible for the provision of emergency services including prevention <br />and suppression of fires, the protection of life andproperty a ainst fire, natural disasters, and <br />other events. The members of the Fire Department ma�or,ganize themselves into a Firefi h� <br />Relief Association. <br />106.07 Parks and Recreation. The Department of Parks and Recreation shall be under the <br />direction of the Cit,�Mana�er and Parks and Recreation Director and is responsible for <br />mana�ement and operations of the City's park and recreation faclities and programs. <br />106.08 Police. The Police Department shall be under the direction of the Police Chief who shall <br />be responsible to and under the direct supervision of the City Manager. The Police Department <br />is res onsible for the preservation of public peace and order, the prevention and detection of <br />crime, the apprehension of offenders, the protection of persons and propertv and the enforcement <br />of State laws and City ordinances, and the rendering of emer. encv services. <br />106.09 Public Works. The Public Works Department shall be under the direction of the City <br />Manager and Public Works Director, and is responsible for the desi�n, construction and <br />maintenance ofpublic facilities, the provision of utility services, and operation and maintence of <br />citv vehicles. <br />SECTION 2. Effective Date.
