As we begin 2002 it is once again time to report the Planning Commission's attendance for 2001 and note changes, accomplishments, and request member reappointment. Membership in 2001 was very good to excellent. Each member has missed at least one meeting due to illness or vacation; Commissioner Mulder missed five meetings due to work, vacation, and illness; Commissioner Traynor had perfect attendance; and no commissioner had an unexcused absence. The year 2001 was a year of transition of the Roseville Planning Commission. On January 8, Troy Duncan began to serve the remaining term of former member Peggy Egli and on June 14 Mark Traynor began to serve the remaining term of former member Craig Klausing. In Craig's absence I, as Vice Chair, took over until my Council appointment for the term ending March 3 1, 2002. The Commission continues to serve the citizens of Roseville with an open mind and an eye for detail. Each member has contributed precious time and considerable talents in support of the City Council and its mission. My last order of business is to request the reappointment of Commissioners Olson, Wilke, and Traynor. These three members bring a special perspective to the Commission and provide both experience in land use issues and commitment to Roseville. Commissioners Olson and Wilke would begin their second and final four-ear term, while Commissioner Traynor would begin his first four-year term.
