SECTION 1- The Plan & The Updating Process: This section was rewritten and <br />describes the Comprehensive Plan review and updating process, and includes the <br />historical Plan amendment summary and a copy of the City Council action. Portions of <br />the former Section 1 ha�e either been eliminated or disbursed throughout the Plan. <br />SECTION 2- The Land & Its People: This section reviews Roseville from a historical, <br />geographical, physical, and demographic perspective. The demographic profile has <br />been rewritten and will include available Census 2000 information about Roseville. The <br />updated information will be incorporated into the 2001 affirmation and a complete re- <br />write of this Section will occur in mid-2002 after the final census reports are available. <br />SECTION 3-- Goals & Policies: Minor changes in the goals & policy section will occur <br />to be consistent with recent master plans, i.e., Twin Lakes Business Park, Arona- <br />Hamline. <br />SECTION 4- Land Use Planning District: The Existing Land Use Map illustrates <br />existin� land uses, including a spreadsheet breakdown of each designation by area and <br />percent of total City land area. <br />The Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map illustrates a11 future land use <br />designations based on City approvals to December 31, 2001 including a spreadsheet <br />breakdown of each designation by area and percent of total city land area. <br />The changes that occurred in this section include: the modification for Planning District <br />6 regarding Sam Cave & Associates (County Road B) amending the land use <br />designation from Business (B) to High Density Residential (HD); Planning District 14 <br />regarding Brentwood Office Condominiums (Le�ngton & 36) amending the land use <br />designation from Low Density Residential (LD) to Business (B); Planning District 10 <br />amending the land use designation of the Twin Lakes area from Business and Industrial <br />to Business Park, a new land use designation. <br />SECTION 5- Transportation: For the Year 2001 all interstate and county road design <br />and functions as they related to adjoining land use, as well as transportation systems, <br />are currently under review by the North Metro I-35W Corridor Coalition. Amendments <br />will be implemented in 2002. In 2001, the traffic counts on I-35W (152,000 peak) and <br />Highway 36 (82,000 peak) were revised by MnDOT. <br />SECTION 6- Housing & Neighborhood Plans: The City continued its contract with <br />the Housing Resource Center (HRC) in 2001 through the I-35W Coalition. This contract <br />affords residential property owners an opportunity to seek information regarding home <br />improvements and financial assistance. <br />SECTION 7- Economic & Redevelopment Plans: This section will contain building <br />permit activity for the Year 2001.
