EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Ha11 on Monday, the 25�` day of February, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. The following members were present: and the following were absent: Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. XXXX CITY OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR RAMSEY COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANTS AND HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP ACT FUNDS FOR FY2002 (JULY 1, 2002 -JUNE 30, 2003) WHEREAS, applications are being accepted for Ramsey County's FY2002 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership Act (HOME) Funds until March 1, 2002; and, WHEREAS, City staff has identified several proposed housing projects, within the City of Roseville, that may be eligible for CDBG and HOME funds between July 2002 and June 2003; and, WHEREAS, the proposed housing projects would meet Ramsey County's criteria to provide safe, affordable housing options in suburban Ramsey County serving low/moderate income families per CDBG and Home policy guidelines; and, WHEREAS, the proposed projects include development of the City owned Arona site, redevelopment of the Hamline Shopping Center, redevelopment of Jubilee and development of a companion apartment on Dione street using vacant property behind Roseville Shopping Center; and WHEREAS, the City has the institutional, managerial and fmancial capability to ensure adequate proj ect administration; and, WHEREAS, the city certifies that if any applications are approved that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in the contract agreements. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to apply for or support private applications to Ramsey County for CDBG and
