Roll Call, Ayes: Schroeder, Maschka, Kough, <br />Klausing and Kysylyczyn. Nays: none. <br />L Appointment of Planning Commission Chair Appointment <br />Maschka nominated John Rhody to continue service as Planning Commission <br />Chair. Chair <br />Kysylyczyn nominated Troy Duncan as chair, indicating <br />he was well qualified, independent and non-partisan. <br />Klausing and Kough speak about their thoughts and <br />feelings concerning the nominations. Kough asked for <br />additional information. <br />Schroeder spoke positively about both. nominees and for <br />the need for additional information: ' <br />Kysylyczyn asked that Council be furnished with the <br />original applications each nominee completed when they <br />were originally appointed to the Planning Commission. <br />Kough moved, Kysylyczyn seconded, to table <br />consideration of the appointment of the Planning <br />Commission Chair to February 4, 2002. Consider Revising Alcohol OralnatlCe Alcohol Ordinance <br />Jamnik described problems wi��i'�he draft ordinance in <br />the Council's packet. He also described the seven issues <br />he sought to address in the draft ordinance. Kysylyczyn <br />sought input from Steve Burwell of Fairview Wine & <br />Spirits, 2579 N Fairview Avenue. NIr. Burwell has <br />passed all compliance checks. <br />Steve Burwell spoke about accountability and level <br />playing field, especially with respect to corporate <br />licensees. <br />
