City Council Minutes - 02/04/02 <br />Copy Page 4 <br />Dan Wall, resident, spoke about the value of the <br />information on citizen advisory board'application forms. <br />Maschka expressed concerns about losing experience <br />from citizen advisory board members who had served a <br />term. <br />Kough spoke <br />reappointments. <br />in favor of postponement of the <br />Schroeder spoke in favor of postponement of the <br />reappointments to allow time to gather additional <br />information. <br />Roll Call on motion to postpone reappointments and <br />advertise vacancies, Ayes: Schroeder, Kough, and <br />Kysylyczyn. Nays: Maschka and Klausing. <br />B. Plan�ing Commission Chair '���`'"�" "' Planning Commission <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Schroeder seconded, the nomination Chair <br />of Troy Duncan. <br />Klausing spoke to the need for experience, ties to the <br />community and leadership. <br />Kysylyczyn asked for public comment. <br />. Dick Lambert asked questions of Mr. Duncan. <br />. Dan Wall commented positively about John <br />Rhody. <br />Maschka commented about personal politics. Schroeder <br />described his visits to citizen advisory boards and his <br />support for Mr. Duncan. <br />John Rhody, resident, spoke about his desire to continue <br />to serve as chair of the Planning Commission and about <br />fairness. <br />Jim Mulder, resident, spoke in favor of NIr. Rhody for <br />three reasons. <br />Polly Franke, resident, spoke in favor of NIr. Rhody and <br />experience. <br />Mary Traynor, resident spoke in favor of NIr. Rhody and <br />the criteria for reappointment. <br />Troy Duncan, resident, spoke about his leadership and <br />management experience, his commitment to the City and <br />objectivity. <br />
