V. Locker Rooms <br />. Both male and female locker rooms must be significantly larger for proper storage of <br />personal equipment, battery charging and the drying of outer garments. <br />VL Investigations Area <br />. Each Investigator must have separate (lockable) work area for conf�idential telephone <br />calls and speaking with citizens. <br />• Three interview rooms with audio/video taping capability so Investigators can <br />interview citizens involved in separate incidents. <br />+ Investigations storage room for cameras, surveillance and other necessary equipment <br />VII. Administration/Record Technician Area <br />+ Lockable work areas for administrators. <br />� Four Record Technicians work cubicles with space for equipment and personal <br />supplies. <br />• Record storage area - Rotating file bins would allow for multi-year storage. Often <br />citizens wish to retrieve reports that are dated, currently this paperwork is held in an <br />inadequate separate room in City Hall. <br />VIIL Lockable Work Areas for Crime Prevention, Reserves and Community Service <br />Officers <br />� Lockable work area to allow for storage of equipment and supplies. <br />• E�tra lockable storage room to hold supplies for Community Service Coordinator for <br />Neighborhood Watch Group, Police/Citizen's Academy, etc. <br />YX. Conference Room, Multi-Purpose Room <br />� Large conference room and table that will accommodate 12 people. This allows for a <br />free exchange of information among members of the department. <br />X. Indoor Firearms Range <br />� Sound training and risk management dictates a 4 bay range enabling moving shooting <br />exercises. <br />XI. Business and Night Entrance to the Police Department <br />� The current entrance to the Department is not marked, this can be confusing to the <br />general public. <br />� Anyone currently entering the police facility must first walk through work areas, <br />causing a safety concern far City employees. <br />� For security purposes, a night entry should be separate from the front door of City <br />Hall. <br />�II� 'I'�-air�€ng Space/Ernergency Qgerations Center <br />� Licensed officers require numerous training courses each year. <br />� A high ceiling Training Space is needed for Use of Force training. <br />� Room will double as an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) <br />� The EOC requires telephone/fax lines to be stored in the floor or ceiling. <br />
