F. <br />Agenda Section: <br />Consent <br />Item Description: Approving an Amendment to the Antenna Lease Agreement with Verizon Wireless <br />Background <br />The City maintains wireless antenna lease agreements with various service providers whom have located <br />on City property. Contained within the standard language in these agreements, is the requirement that the <br />City formally approve any requested change to the site or equipment being used. <br />Verizon Wireless, LLC, has requested approval to change their antenna configuration at the Fairview <br />Avenue Water Tower Site. The change will not require any additional space on the tower; rather it <br />proposes to replace twelve (12) e�sting six-foot antennas, with three smaller `metawave' antennas, which <br />have technological advantages over the existing equipment. <br />The amendment does not require any planning or zoning review, nor does it present any additional <br />concerns for the integrity of the water tower, or in our ability to maintain a clear path to all necessary <br />components. The amendment does not alter the original terms of the lease. <br />A copy of the Amendment to the Lease Agreement is attached. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve the Amendment to the Antenna Lease Agreement with Verizon <br />Wireless. <br />Council Action Requested <br />Motion to approve the Amendment to the Antenna Lease Agreement with Verizon Wireless as submitted. <br />
