Staff Guidelines for Selecting Stories for the Wrap <br />Bi-monthly newsletter to a11 postal addresses, residential and business, in the City <br />of Roseville <br />Story ideas come from: <br />• Communications staff <br />. Other City staff <br />. Council Members <br />. Residents <br />. Businesses <br />. Non-profits <br />. Social and philanthropic groups <br />. Other governmental entities <br />Staff reviews the previous few years of Wraps to see what seasonal articles were <br />written. Staff created a"missed stories" list of seasonal articles that should be <br />included in the following year's Wrap. <br />We have space constraints so must limit what is included in each edition of the <br />Wrap. Currently every issue includes: <br />. What's happening in the City/City Council activities <br />. City codes - current to time of year <br />. Recycling dates/educational piece <br />. Two month calendar <br />. Important phone numbers <br />. Department news - depends on what is happening i.e. road construction, <br />health, safety, budget, election. <br />. Parks and Recreation information <br />Story ideas are welcome at a11 times. Communications staff reviews suggestions <br />with the following guidelines in mind: <br />. Priority given to city news (City council action, ordinance that affects <br />all/most residents, award, recognitions, news) <br />. Department news <br />. Timely Information (road construction, election, finance, holiday hints.. ..) <br />. Health and safety tips from the police and fire <br />. News about what City is doing to help the taxpayers <br />
