Other projects in the past three years included grants from the borders and buffer <br />program to resolve neighborhood issues in the amount of $15,000 and various <br />repainting and clean up abatement projects in the amount of $20,000. <br />. There are over 190 single family homes with a property tax value less than <br />$100,000 which is the target for homes that are in need of or will be in need of <br />significant improvements in the future. According to the Ramsey County records, <br />only 5 percent of those homes have ever been remodeled and only 2 of them in <br />the last 10 years. Of these homes with property tax values less than $100,000 90 <br />percent were built prior to 1960. At an average cost of $40,000 for necessary <br />improvements (roof, windows, siding, paint) there could be a need for over $7 <br />million in improvements to maintain the quality housing stock of the community. <br />i. Provide assurance that the city can fund the services of the Housing Resource Center, <br />which if duplicated at City Hall would require 2.5 new staff inembers. <br />. The following provides a summary of the annual costs associated with the <br />services provided by the Housing Resource Center. By participation with the I- <br />35W Corridor Coalition, Roseville saves over yz the costs of the same HRC <br />services if funded individually.
