��,ocr.��!��'ro� <br />NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2002 <br />WHEREAS, the National Association of Town Watch (NATT� is sponso�ing a <br />unique, nationwide c�ime, drug and violence prevention program on August 6, 200Z called <br />"National Night Out'; and <br />WHEREAS, the "19th Annual National Night Out"provides a unique opportunity for <br />Roseville to join forces with thousands of other communities across the country in promoting <br />cooperative, police-community c�ime and drug prevention efforts; and <br />WHEREAS, Neighborhood Watch plays a vital role in assisting the Roseville Police <br />through joint c�ime, drug and violence prevention efforts in Roseville and is supporting <br />"`National Night Out 2002" locally; and <br />WHEREAS, it is essential that all citizens of Roseville be aware of the importance of <br />c�ime prevention programs and the impact that their participation can have on reducing <br />c�ime, drugs and violence in Roseville; and <br />WhTEREAS, police- community partnerships, neighborhood safety, awareness and <br />cooperation are important themes of the `National Night Out"program; <br />NOW, THEREFORE WE, THE ROSEVILLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL, aO <br />hereby call upon all citizens of Roseville to join ROSEi�ILLE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH <br />GROUPS and the National Association of Town Watch in supporting "19th Annual National <br />Night Out" on August 6, 2002. <br />FURTHER, LET IT BE RESOLVED THAT, WE, ROSEVILLE MAYOR AND CITY <br />COITNCIL, do hereby proclaim Tuesday, August 6, 2002 as "NATIONAL NIGHT OUT" in <br />ROSE VILLE. <br />City Manager <br />Mayor <br />. <br />
