The estimated cost for this modified design is $766,000. Yearly maintenance for this streetscape <br />alternative is estimated at $30,000 will consist of the following: <br />. Spring clean up (cleaning benches & railings) <br />. Pruning of trees and shrubs <br />. Weeding of beds. <br />� Plant replacement. <br />. Remulching beds. <br />. Trash removal. <br />There will be no additional City cost for snow removal in this corridor as sidewalks adjacent to <br />commercial businesses are required to be plowed by the owner, per City Code. City staff already <br />maintains the pathway on the south. <br />Policy objectives: The report recommends proceeding with the County Road C Reconstruction <br />project, and outlines the proposed funding for this project. This project would include the <br />reconstruction of County Road C, the construction of storm water treatment basins, and the burying <br />of overhead electrical distribution lines. <br />The Council discussed the streetscape project at its 7uly meeting and directed staff to return to <br />the Public Hearing with a revised streetscape design in the range of $600-800,000. The City's share of the project costs could be funded using Infrastructure Replacement <br />Funds. The proposed Phase I proj ect would be integrated with the Phase II Streetscape proj ect. <br />Phase II is from Snelling Avenue to O�ord Street.
