EXTRACT OF 1�IINUTES OF 1��ETING <br />OF CITY COUNCII, <br />CITY OF ROSEVII,LE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br />Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall at 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, on <br />Monday, the 19th day of August, 2002, at 6:30 o'clock p.m. <br />The following members were present: and the following members were absent: <br />Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. � <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS <br />FOR SW-Ol-14 RICE STREET SIDEWALK <br />Whereas, pursuant to advertisement for bids for the improvement, according to the plans and <br />specifications thereof on file in the office of the Manager of said City, said bids were received on <br />Wednesday, July 16, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids <br />were received complying with the advertisement: <br />BIDDER AMOUNT <br />L. S. Black $67,552.80 <br />Environmental Associates Inc $68 799.00 <br />WHEREAS, L. S. Black Constructors was the lowest bidder, at $67,552.80; and <br />WHEREAS, this project was to be funded through a CDBG grant of $55,000; and <br />WHEREAS, no additional funding is available for the project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota that <br />the bids solicited for shall be rejected, and City Staff should explore other ways to construct the <br />proposed proj ect. <br />The motion was seconded by Councihnember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereoi and the following voted against: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
