In compliance with State <br />Statutes, the Commission asks that the proposed Charter be put forth to the voters of Roseville. The City of <br />Roseville will conduct a General Election on Tuesday, November 5, 2002, The City must notify the county <br />auditor of this action that places the proposed question on the ballot at least 49 days prior to the municipal <br />election. <br />Policv Implications <br />As specified in MN Statute 410.10the ballot shall bear the printed words "Shall the proposed new charter be <br />adopted? Yes No " <br />Financial Imolications <br />The City will conduct a General Election. Minimal cost will be incurred with the wording on the ballot. <br />Roseville will publish Charter language in the official City newspaper at an approximate cost of $2,500. <br />Council Action Rec�uested <br />Motion to approve a resolution to accept the Charter Commission proposed ballot question and to submit the <br />matter to Ramsey County to be voted on at the November 5,2002 General Election. <br />�RCAs�rca - 2002 Charter.doc <br />
