The reasons I endorse this driveway connection are as follows: 1) The connection will add SAFETY to the intersection by allowing guests unfamiliar with the area to re- enter the streets from the driveway facing the traffic rather than backing into the traffic.This benefits all persons using Old 8 and C-2. 2) OFF-STREET PARKING: Rather than have cars parked on the side street and block the view of the intersection, especially on Old 8, guests can now park on the driveway. You may consider posting No Parking on Old 8 if this connection is granted.This benefits all persons using Old 8 and C-2. 3) ASTHETICS: The graceful driveway connection can be landscaped to enhance the intersection. Such a ark driveway is traditional for the style of McMansion that the McCloskeys have built. The McCloskey's have won numerous Beautification Awards from the City of Minneapolis for their previous home and look forward to making their new home a show stopper! Their investment in this former "DUMP" and hazardous waste site is commendable.
