This will include the production of the book The
group will attempt to raise additional funds for the Printing costs of the book The level of
funds raised will determine the number of books printed and distribution for each city.
However, the book will also be available from the website.
4.2 The $5,000 contribution has been budgeted in the housing fund for 2002.
5.0 STAFF RECOMMENDATION
5.1 Staff is very supportive of the collaborative plan book effort. With the amount of Split-
Level/Entry style homes in Roseville and the huge success of the Rambler/Cape Code book,
the investment of $5,000 is money well spent. The book will be an excellent resource for the
community and also meets the goals of the City to preserve the housing stock and encourage
families to move into and stay in Roseville.
6.0 SUGGESTED COUNCIL ACTION
6.1 By motion, approve participation in the Split-Level Remodeling Plan Book with 11 other
metro cities and 3 counties for an amount not to exceed $5,000.
Attachments: List of Participating Cities, Brooklyn Park EDA Agreement, Robert Gerloff, AIA Contract
Prepared by: Cathy Bennett (490-224 1)
\\CommDevI-Iousing\Design Booksplit level participation rca.doc
Split-Level Plan Book - RCA (09/23/02) - Page 2 of 2
