Sister City Delegation from Shinmachi, Japan <br />Mary Meyer of the Roseville Sister City Association <br />introduced the 2002 delegation of ten (10) students and <br />two (2) chaperones from Shinmachi, Japan. Each <br />student spoke to the City Council and public. <br />Acting Mayor Kough recognized Ms. Meyer, their <br />chaperones and the students and thanked them for their <br />attendance at the meeting. <br />B. 2002 Minnesota Recreation and Parks Association <br />(MRPA) Award of Excellence for Reservoir Woods <br />Dog Park <br />Parks and Recreation Director Lonnie Brokke provided <br />views of the Reservoir Woods Dog Park, and introduced <br />John Elholm, a Roseville resident and representative of <br />the Minnesota Recreation and Parks Association Board <br />of Directors and MRPA Awards Comrnittee. <br />Mr. Ehlholm briefly reviewed the history and <br />membership of the MRPA; and presented the MRPA <br />Award of Excellence to Acting Mayor Kough on behalf <br />of the City. <br />Several canine users of the park, Jo-Jo and Natasha, were <br />present to express their appreciation for the dog park, <br />and received recognition by Acting Mayor Kough. <br />II. Roseville Ambassadors Foundation, Incorporated Roseville <br />Mike Hermes, representing the Roseville Ambassadors Ambassadors <br />Foundation, Incorporated, was present to update the City Foundation <br />Council on activities of the foundation. <br />Mr. Hermes requested that $4,000.00 in City funds be set <br />aside, as part of the 2003 Budget planning process, to <br />
