City Council Minutes — 08/12/02 <br />Page 3 <br />assist in continuation of this public relations venture. <br />Acting Mayor Kough thanked Mr. Hermes and suggested <br />that this request be referred to the City's Finance <br />Committee for review. <br />Klausing moved, Schroeder seconded, forwarding this <br />request to the appropriate Finance Committee for review <br />and recommendation to the City Council. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka, Schroeder, Kough, and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Councilmember Maschka moved that the Council also <br />give consideration, as part of the 2003 budget process, to <br />discussion of the Assistant Police Chief versus a Police <br />Captain position, and to allow Councilmembers time to <br />ask questions of Fire Chief Gasaway and Acting Police <br />Chief Sletner; and asked if that discussion could be <br />worked into a future Work Session Agenda. <br />Acting Mayor Kough concurred and seconded the <br />motion. <br />Councilmember Schroeder spoke to the motion, stating <br />that he or Mayor Kysylyczyn would include requests for <br />agenda items when contacted by Councilmembers or <br />staff. <br />Councilmember Maschka and Acting Mayor Kough <br />rescinded their motion and second respectively, and <br />Councilmember Schroeder and City Manager Beets were <br />directed to add this item to the next available agenda. <br />No formal action was taken. <br />Police Department <br />Positions <br />L Recognitions (continued) <br />C. 2002 Ideas Award for Roseville Park Shelters Roseville Park <br />Parks and Recreation Director Brokke provided visuals Shelters <br />of the shelters at Acorn, Central and Evergreen Parks; 2002 Ideas Award <br />
