1�iS�E� � Position Profile- Recreation Program Supervisor Date: December 28, 2001 Position Title: Recreation Program Supervisor Deqartment: Parks and Recreation Accountable to: Recreation Superintendent Primarv Oblective of Position To assist in the development, implementation, and supervision of recreational programming to ensure the recreational needs of Roseville residents are being met with high quality programs. Maior Areas of Accountabilitv 1. Assist in development of recreation proqrams and activities for all citizen groups that provide an opportunity for `constructive use of leisure time, social interaction, and the development of physical and personal well-being. 2. Regularly monitor assigned programs to assure they are functioning and meeting goals as projected. 3. Evaluate programs to ascertain need for improvement or change, or additional community programming needs. 4. Serve as liaison to assigned youth and adult athletic associations to assure they are operating in a manner acceptable to the City. 5. Keep abreast of current concerns and potentials in assigned programming areas. 6. Keep Recreation Superintendent informed of important developments. 7. Manage online department registration and information system 8, Assist in the development and staging of special events. 9. Perform other tasks as assigned. Knowledae and Skills Reauired *Thorough knowledge of recreation programming. *Understanding of budgeting and program finance procedures. *Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with department staff, City staff, youth and adult athletic associations and the general public. * Knowledge of computers and basic software applications. * Ability to effectively respond to customer needs. * Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. *Ability to remain poised in stressful situations. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
