There is established a Fire De�artment consisting of a Fire Chief to be a ointed <br />bv the Citv Mana�er and other subordinate officers and nersonnel as determined. The <br />Denartment shall be resnonsible for the nrovision of emer�encv services including wevention <br />and uvvression of fires, the nrotection of life and propertv a�ainst fire. natural disasters. and <br />other events. fThe Fire Deuartment shall also be responsible for administration of the State <br />Fire Code.1 The members of the Fire Denartment mav or�anize themselves into a Firefi h� <br />Relief Association. <br />106.07 Parks and Recreation. The Denartment of Parks and Recreation sha11 be under the <br />direction of the Citv Mana�er and Parks and Recreation Director and is resnonsible for <br />mana�ement and onerations�of the Citv's pazk and recreation facilities and pro�rams. <br />106.08 �'�i�c�olice T�enartment shall he under the directi�n �f the P�lice Chief wh� shall <br />be resnonsible to and under the direct sunervision of the Citv Mana�er. The Police Denartment <br />is resn�nsihle f�r the vreservation c,f n��hlic neace and �rder, the nreventi�n and detecti�n �f <br />crime, the annrehensi�n �f �ffenders the nr�tecti�n �f persons and nr�nertv and the enf�rcement <br />of State laws and Citv ordinances. and the renderin� of emer�encv services. <br />106.09 Puhlic W�rks The Puhlic W�rks l�enartment shall he under the directi�n �f the C1tV <br />Mana�er and Public Works Director. and is responsible for the desi�n. construction and <br />maintenance of nublic facilities, the nrovision of utilitv services_ and oneration and maintenance <br />of Citv vehicles. <br />SECTION 2. Effective Date.
