Presentation and Discussion of Arboretum Muriel Sahlin <br />Development Plan Arboretum <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Kough seconded, a motion to accept the Development <br />Central Park Foundation funding donation for improvements to Plans <br />the Muriel Sahlin Arboretum. <br />Parks and Recreation Director Lonnie Brokke reviewed the <br />history and development to-date of the Master Plan for <br />improvements and development of the Roseville Central Park. <br />Discussion ensued and included rental and usage of the <br />facilities; the extensiveness of the next project phase; <br />maintenance requirements and impacts on the 2003 and 2004 <br />budgets respectively; and potential internship programs through <br />community colleges. <br />Jeff Evenson, Park Project Coordinator, reviewed the <br />Development Plan and its various components and affiliated <br />cost estimates. Those components included Entry Detail at an <br />estimated cost of $70,000; Theme Gardens at an estimated cost <br />of $125,000; and the Japanese Garden at an estimated cost of <br />$80,000. <br />Monte Johnson, President of the Central Park Foundation, was <br />present to discuss the Arboretum Development Plan, to develop <br />the "crown jewel" of the City of Roseville. <br />Mr. Johnson spoke to the priority of projects for Central Park, <br />and recommended completion of each component at the same <br />time to make the construction less disruptive, and save <br />approximately $25,000 overall. <br />Mr. Johnson stated that the Foundation Board had approved the <br />
