Future Agenda Items <br /> 96 <br /> 97 Chair Singleton said he spoke with staff about the number of commissioners. The bylaws <br /> 98 reference ten commissioners while the City Code references seven commissioners. The number <br /> 99 of commissioners was reduced to seven to be consistent with several of the other commissions. <br /> 100 In addition, the City often had a difficult time getting an adequate number of applicants for <br /> 101 vacancies on the commission. <br /> 102 <br /> 103 Commissioners will also discuss Civic Engagement, 2011 Chair's Initiatives and Youth <br /> 104 Membership. <br /> 105 <br /> 106 Commissioner McKenzie requested information about whether the City of Roseville recognized <br /> 107 domestic partnerships or offered partner benefits. <br /> 108 <br /> 109 Chair Singleton said he would update the Commission on his meeting with Police Chief Rick <br /> 110 Mathwig. <br /> 111 <br /> 112 Commissioner McKenzie reminded others of the Department of Human Rights Conference on <br /> 113 December and the dinner hosted by the State League of Human Rights on December 2. <br /> 114 Commissioner McKenzie moved and Commissioner Yates seconded motion to underwrite <br /> 115 attendance at the December 2 dinner at a cost of $30 per commissioner. Motion prevailed <br /> 116 unanimously. <br /> 117 <br /> 118 Commissioners must notify Carolyn Curti by November 15 if they plan to attend. <br /> 119 <br /> 120 8. Announcements <br /> 121 <br /> 122 Commissioner Yates spoke briefly about her trip to South Africa, learning about early childhood <br /> 123 education. <br /> 124 <br /> 125 Commissioner Oftelie spoke about her recent trip to Missouri. <br /> 126 <br /> 127 9. Adjournment <br /> 128 <br /> 129 Commissioner Josephson moved and Commissioner McKenzie seconded motion to adjourn. <br /> 130 Motion passed unanimously. <br />
