partners." Also the kids said "So which one of you is her mom My
parents said that they both were. Then the younger sister said "Haw
does that work
My mom Andrea is my basketball coach. When we get new
players she has to explain that she and my other mom Diane are
lesbians. She tells them that because some people don't like the idea
of having their child around a lesbian or gay person.
So as you can see lesbian and gay parents have to worry about
things other parents don't. In my opinion lesbian and gay parents
have a harder fife for their kid. Also, they might have it harder then
some people or parents think they have it.
I think that stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination are
related because they are mean and harmful ways of acting and
thinking. They are also all a way of hurting someone emotionally
and/or physically. These behaviors are also related to each other in a
personal way. In my opinion if you do one or more of these
behaviors you are just pulling yourself lower and lower. Sooner or
later people might do these things to you.
To help prevent these behaviors from happening, you can
obviously not do these things. But you can also tell other people
about stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination and why they are
dad things to do. Another thing you can do, if you see or hear
someone doing these actions, is take a stand and tell them to stop. If
they don't stop, then go to a responsible adult you trust and tell them
about what you have seen.
