<br />-2- <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Vi llage of Rosevi lIe and many other communi ties <br />in the State of ~'innesota adopted resolutions requesting that the Liquor <br />Control Commission not issue any such permits within the Village limits <br />of the Village of Roseville without first securing the approval of local <br />authorities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Liquor Control Commission has announced and has <br />commenced the practice of issuing such permits only to such applicants who <br />have their applications endorsed and approved by the Chief of Police and the <br />Mayor of the respective community: <br /> <br />NOW, Tt:lEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY 'IHE VILLAGE COUNCIL FOR THE <br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE. MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />The Vi Hage Counci 1 hereby requests the Hayor of the Vi llage of <br />Roseville to approve the issuance of such permits to the following applicants <br />who are proprietors of the fOllowing named establishments: <br /> <br />PAUL BUNYfu'IJ MOTEL <br />2965 North Sne1lin~ Avenue <br />ARDEN INN <br />2131 Snelling Avenue North <br />GRAFF'S TAVERN <br />1961 Rice Street <br />DICK'S TAVERN <br />2393 RICE STREET <br />TONY'S NIGHT CLUB <br />1691 Rice Street <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any new applicants for such permits be <br />considered and approved by the Mayor only after they have been considered by <br />the whole Council and they meet the following conditions: <br /> <br />a) Only new applicants who have not been convicted of any <br />law violations related to the Liquor Control Act of the <br />State of Minnesota or local ordinances pertaining to the <br />regulation of intoxicating liquors or non-intoxicating malt <br />beverages, or laws dealing with allowin? the consumption or <br />display of intoxicating liquors and the sale of any liquids for <br />the purpose of mixing with intoxicating liquors, in the last <br />two years. <br /> <br />b) No such permit shall be issued to any estab lishment wi thin <br />six hundred feet (600') of any public or private school. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Village Council will request the <br />Liquor Control Commission to revoke any such permit if the operator of such <br />establishment or the employees of the operator are convicted of violating any <br />
