<br />The Mayor then directed the Manager to read the des- <br /> <br />cription of the general nature and estimated cost of the <br /> <br />proposed improvement and the area proposed to be assessed <br /> <br />therefor, as stated in the published notice of hearing. <br /> <br />After reading of the notice, all persons present were <br /> <br />afforded opportunity to be heard, and the names and addresses <br /> <br />of the persons appearing and heard by the Council, and the <br /> <br />substance of the views presented by them were as follows: <br /> <br />MAYOR LINEBARGER explained that the Council of the <br />Village of Shoreview feels that all Roseville citizens re- <br />ceiving the benefit of the improvement should pay a connection <br />charge to the Village of Shoreview in the same way a home <br />owner in Shoreview does, although the Village of Roseville is <br />also paying $350 to $400 a let for use of the lift station. <br />The Mayor indicated that the Village of Roseville wished to <br />negotiate with the Village of Shoreview relative to this extra <br />charge to Roseville participants. <br /> <br />MR. JAMES NORVIG, Village of Shoreview engineer: They <br />feel that anyone outside their corporate limits should pay <br />the same as they charge their people regardless of where the <br />pipes are. <br /> <br />MR. ROBERT PLUNKETT, 3122 West OWasso Blvd.: Asked to <br />have the amount each home owner would pay to Shoreview re- <br />peated. The answer was $150. Mayor Linebarger further re- <br />peated that in addition to the $150, the village would pay <br />$350 to $400 per lot. <br /> <br />MR. GEORGE JAEGER, 3130 West OWasso Blvd: Had a question <br />about his assessment. In favor of the improvement. Mayor <br />Linebarger indicated that whether he received a full or partial <br />assessment would be determined at the time of the assessment <br />hearing. <br /> <br />MR.
