MR. KEN BAKER, member of the Rosevi11e Baptist Church,
211 County Road B-2: Said the shopping center doesn't yet
own the property on which they plan to build. Asked what would
happen if the improvement would be ordered and the center wasn't
constructed. Suggested that the improvement be delayed until
it's known with certainty that the center will be built. Mr.
Honchell indicated that plans for the center are moving ahead
and he's sure they're intending to build. Councilman Curley
said that bids would not be awarded if construction of the
center did not materialize.

After a discussion of the views presented by persons appearing

at the public hearing for Improvement No. P-SS-ST-W-74-9, Council-

man Curley then introduced the following resolution and moved its

adoption:

RESOLUTION NO. 6089

RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
IMPROVEMENT NO. P-SS-ST-W-74-9 UNDER AND
PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES, CHAPTER 429

BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Roseville,
Minnesota, that in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota
Statutes 1961, Chapter 429, as amended, the Council held a public
hearing pursuant to published notice, on the proposed construction
of Improvement No. P-SS-ST-W-74-9, on Transit Avenue between
Galtier and Rice Streets by the installation of concrete curb
and gutter, bituminous surfacing, sanitary sewer extension,
storm sewer, water services, and necessary appurtenances, as
described in the notice of hearing at a cost presently estimated
to be approximately $89,590.82, and substantially in accordance
with the preliminary engineer's report as to the feasibility
thereof which is now on file in the office of the acting City
Manager: and having considered the views of all interested persons
and being fully advised in the premises, the Council does hereby
determine and order that said improvement shall be constructed
and financed, and special assessments shall be levied therefor,
pursuant to said Chapter 429, and that the area proposed to be
assessed therefor shall include the property as described in
the notice of hearing.
