<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF <br />ROSEVILLE HELD SEPTEMBER 24, 1962 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular <br />Ineeting of the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, <br />Minnesota, was duly called and held at the Village Hall in <br />said Village on September 24, 1962, at 8:00 p.m. The <br />following members were present: <br />/?7~ 7h~ ~ ~~~ ,7~~ <br />,c~d~ / <br /> <br />and the following members were absent: ~~ <br /> <br />Hember P..~. introduced the follo1rling <br />resolution and moved lts adoption. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. ~/J1 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DETERHINING TO ACQUIRE BY CONDEMNATION <br />UNDER THE POHER OF EMINENT DOjvIAIl~ CERTAIN LANDS IN FEE SH1PLE <br />FOR THE PUI\POSE OF CONSTRUCTION A WATER TAI~K FOR ELEVATED <br />STORAGE OF vJATER, AND DIRECTING THAT THE NECESSARY PROCEEDINGS <br />BE INSTITUTED FOR SUCH PURPOSE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of <br />Roseville has previously passed a resolution ordering the <br />institution of an integrated water system; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council for the Village of <br />Roseville has been advised by competent engineers that it is <br />to acquire lands hereinafter described on which to construct <br />a water tank for elevanted storage of water; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the present owners and other persons <br />having an interest in said required lands have indicated that <br />they are unwilling to negotiate with the Village on a <br />reasonable basis for the acquisition of the same; and <br /> <br />~HEREAS, the statutes of the State of Minnesota <br />state that the Village has the power and authority to take <br />and acquire said property by condemnation under the power of <br />eminent domain: <br />
