<br />EXTPACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY CaJNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD November 18, 1974 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * ~ * * * * * * * * n * ** * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the City Council of the City of RosevilIe , Minnesota, was duly <br />called and held at the City Hall in said City on Monday, November 18, <br />1974, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, Councilmen <br />Demos, Hess, Brennan and Curley <br /> <br />and the following members were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Brennan introduced I the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6180 <br /> <br />A RESOllJTION DETERMINING TO ACQUIRE BY CONDEMNA.TION <br />UNDER THE POWERS OF EMINENT DOMAIN CERTAIN WIT) FOR THE <br />PURPOSE OF A PERMANENT EASEMENT FOR PUBLI C ROAD AND UNDER- <br />GROOND UTILITIES, AND DIRECTING THAT THE NECESSARY PROCEEll5INGS <br />BE INSTITUTED FOR SUCH PURPOSE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City council for the City of Rosevi11e deems it <br />necessary and expedient and in the best interest of the City to acquire <br />the following described land for a permanent easement for public road <br />and underground utilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Roseville has been <br />advised by competent advisers and committees that the following described <br />real property is feasible to construct and maintain a public road and <br />underground utility mains, pipes and appurtenances; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Rosevi11e has been unable to negotiate <br />for the purpose of purchasing said land; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, under the Statutes of the State of Minnesota, the City <br />has the power to take and acquire such property by power of eminent <br />domain; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CI1Y COUNCIL FOR THE <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />
