EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD December 30, 1974 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Ramsey County, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall at 2701 North Lexington Avenue, Roseville, Minnesota, on the 30th day of December, 1974, at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, Councilmen Hess, Brennan and Curley and the following were absent: Councilman Demos Member Curley and moved its adoption: introduced the following resolution RESOLUTION NO. 6195 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE SUBURBAN RATE AUTHORITY: DIRECTING THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT: AND DESIGNATING A REPRE- SENTATIVE OF THE CITY AS ITS MEMBER ON THE BOARD OF THE SUBURBAN RATE AUTHORITY WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is authorized by Minnesota Statutes, Section 471.59 to enter into joint and cooperative agreements with other governmental units, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the City cooperate with other municipalities in the monitoring of utility services in the Metropolitan Area by participating in the Suburban Rate Authority, an existing cooperative organization with experience in the field of utility rate regulation, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is necessary and desirable that the Suburban Rate Authority continue in existence, notwithstanding the assumption of utility regulatory powers by the State, for the purpose of monitoring utility services and participating to the maximum degree possible in the utility rate-making procedure, and that the Suburban Rate Authority's scope of activities be broadened to include electric utilities and other utilities if necessary.
