Council for a long time and I've voted for every storm sewer
project that's come through. And when you've been in some
of the homes I've been in where the water was just about up
to the windows in the basement - and I think we did a good
job. You drive around Roseville, you find a nice city. It's
clean. It's easy to say I don't need storm sewer because I
don't need it. I've paid for two storm sewers. They're never
popular.

MAYOR LINEBARGER: It's pretty hard to convince the per-
son at the top of the hill that he doesn't have a problem, but
it's his water running to the bottom of the hill.

FROM THE AUDIENCE: I think you misunderstood me. We
got the (inaudible) water runs one way half and the other way
to my side. We don't get any except what falls into the street
and off our neighbor's yard. You say we're getting water from
somewhere else. So why go through the expense when you don't
need it. That's why I want you Councilmen and the engineer to
come back out and 1111 prove to him that it isn't what you saidp
sir, that some of the water is running our way because it's not
absolutely not, and so help me you can come out and Illl prove
it to you.

MR. AL WANDERSEE, 2954 No. Hamline: I came to Roseville
in 1950. I have seen a lot of progress and I've also seen the
ditches closed up. That's why we have the problem of water
out here and I feel the money well spent to get rid of this
problem in this beautiful park, and I feel $250 of our money
to get rid of that water problem and save a child's life is
worth every penny of it and I think the Council should take this
in consideratiorr of the problem we have for water and see what
can be done about it now - not tabled, but take care of it now
because we spent so much money to get this started and I think
we should have a little action on it.

MR. L. BOHANO~. 1415 Brenner: I wondered if we grade the
ditches and put in a 20 inch pipe, what would be the cost of
this without all the extra catch basins on Brenner and Lydia.

MAYOR LINEBARGER: I don't think he would want to give an
answer without considerable study and there's a question if

23
