Trustees Curley, Goodrich, Kustermann and Schrenker. <br />and the following members were absent: None <br /> <br />~~mber Kustermann introduced the following Resolution and moved its <br /> <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NOo 684 <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COONCIL FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA <br />That this Resolution sets forth the ranks of all police officers of the Village of <br />Roseville. and further. that it constitutes general instructions for the Roseville <br />Police Department by the Village Council, and further, that it constitutes general <br />instructions for the Roseville Police Department by the Village Council. and further <br />sets forth the duties of each rank. <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />a) Chief of Police: The Chief of Police shall be the chief officer <br />of the Roseville Police Department. and shall be responsible directly to the Village <br />Council on all police matters of the Village 0 He shall at all times supervise and <br />direct the entire Police Department, and shall issue rules and regulations to sub- <br />ordinate officers and patrolmen, He shall further be in charge of all police <br />property of the Village of Roseville. <br /> <br />b) Assistant Chief of Police: The Assistant Chief of Police shall be <br />second in command and shall act as the Chlef of Police whenever the Chief of Police <br />is incapacitated or whenever directed to so act by the Chief of Police 0 He shall <br />follow all lawful instructions and orders of the Olief of Police which are not <br />inconsistent with the orders of the Village Councilo <br /> <br />c) Police Ser~eant: The Police Sergeant shall be the third highest <br />ranking officer of the RoseVllle Police Department and in the incapacity of the Chief <br />or Assistant Chief of POlice, shall be in complete charge of the Police Department. <br />or when lawfully instructed to be in charge of the Police Department by the Chief and <br />Assistant Chief of Police. He shall obey all orders of the Assistant Chief of <br />Police which are not inconsistent with the orders of the Chief of Police, and shall <br />obey all orders of the Chief of Police which are not inconsistent with the orders of <br />the Village Councilo <br />
