<br />d) Police Patrolman: Police patrolmen are police officers of <br />the Village of Roseville, and shall obey all instructions and orders of the Police <br />Sergeant, the Assistant Chief of Police, the Chief of Police, and the orders of the <br />Village Council. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />The Village Council further directs that all police officers of the <br />Village of Roseville are expected to be on duty at all times in their endeavor to <br />uphold the law in the Village. However, when the term "active duty" is referred to <br />in this Resolution, it refers to the time actively spent as the working day of the <br />police officer. <br /> <br />III. <br /> <br />a) The Village Council hereby uirects that at all times the <br />Police Department shall have on duty a supervisory officer of the Police Department. <br />The supervisory officer shall be as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., ~bnday through Priday, <br />Chief of Police. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />4:00 p.m. to 12:01 a.m., ~bnday through Friday, <br />Assistant Chief of Police. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />12:01 a.m. to 8:30 a,m., ~bnday through Friday <br />Sergeant. <br /> <br />b) The above schedule shall apply unless temporarily. altered by <br />the Chief of Police, anu any change ordered by the Chief of Police shall be entered <br />as an official record of the Roseville Police Department. <br /> <br />c) The schedule set forth in Paragraph III (a) above sets forth <br />the minimum workday of each officer referred to; however. it is recognized that these <br />are minimum hours and that these officers are expected to work such additional hours <br />as may be necessary to fulfill the duties of his office. <br /> <br />d) On Saturdays and Sundays, the Police Department shall be under <br />the control of one person on active duty, who shall be designated as such by the Chief <br />of POlice, and if there are no supervisory officers on active duty, the Chief of Police <br />shall designate one patrolman in charge of the Police Department during the week-ends. <br /> <br />e) It is further directed by the Village Council that the police <br />officer in charge of the Police Department and acting as supervisory officer shall <br />either t.e at the Village Hall or in a police patrol car, and when the supervisory <br />officer finds it necessary to leave the Village Hall or leave the patrol car on police <br />business, he shall inform an employee in the Police Department as to where he may be <br />contacted and the time of his return. Further, when the supervisory officer leaves <br />the Village Hall or patrol car, he shall keep a record of same and the record shall be <br />a part of the official records of the Roseville Police Department. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
