<br />IV. <br /> <br />The Village Council further orders and instructs the Chief of Police, <br />Assistant Chief of Police, and the Police Sergeant, to instruct all patrolmen in <br />the proper police functions and duties, and in all ways possible to be responsible <br />to keep the Police Department informed on all applicable laws the police patrolmen <br />are expected to enforce. <br /> <br />V. <br /> <br />The following shall be general orders of the Village Council to all members <br />of the Roseville Police Department~ <br /> <br />a) No member of the Roseville Police Department shall engage in <br />any activities, except police activities, during the time that they are on active <br />duty with the Roseville Police Department. <br /> <br />b) No member of the Roseville Police Department shall engage in <br />any other business or occupation where the duties of his position as prescribed by <br />law or regulations or his official supervisor are impaired or rendered less effective <br />by his outside occupation. <br /> <br />c) All members of the Roseville Police Department, with the <br />exception of the Chief of POlice, shall, when on active duty, be in full uniform, and <br />the uniform shall be prescribed by the Chief of Police. <br /> <br />d) No member of the Roseville Police Department shall drink any <br />intoxicating beverage, including non=intoxicating malt beverages, while on active duty <br />or in uniform, and further, shall not drink any intoxicating beverage, including non- <br />intoxicating malt beverages, for a period of two hours prior to going on active duty. <br /> <br />e) All members of the Roseville Police Department shall obey all <br />lawful directions of the supervisory officer or the Village Council. <br /> <br />f) No member of the Roseville Police Department shall engage in any <br />political activities, other than voting, for any elected position of the Village, and <br />no member of the Roseville Police Department shall be a candidate for any elected <br />office to any public post. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by member Goodrich, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor of the resolution: <br /> <br />~byor ~~Gee, Trustees Curley, (,o~lrich, Kustermann and Schrenker. <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />WHEREUPON, SAID RESOLUTION was declared duly passed and adopted. <br /> <br />~tl yor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Clerk <br />
