<br />IV. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the policy of the Village Council, whenever <br />possihle, shall be to have insurance purchased hy competitive bidding, and the <br />Insurance Committee shall recommend to the Village Council the specifications to be <br />used in the competitive biddingQ <br /> <br />V. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Council recognizes that the members <br />of the Insurance Committee are in the business of selling insurance, and recognizes that <br />for the services they render to the Village, they may receive their rcgular insurance <br />commissions for any insurance they may place with the Village. The members of the <br />Insurance Committee are thereforc allowed to enter bids for the companies they represent, <br />on any insurance that the Village may purchase, and may, in the discretion of the members <br />of the Insurance Committee, pool the commissions in any way that they see fit. However, <br />the Committee is hereby directed to make appropriate rules among themselves, immediately <br />upon their appointment, upon the procedure to be followed in deciding how to pool the <br />commissions, and which commissions shall be pooled. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by member Curley, and upon vote being takcn thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />r-.tlyor ~tC~e, Trustees Curley, Goodrich, Schrenker and Kustermann <br />and the following voted against the same: None <br /> <br />WHEREUPON SAID resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />SEAL <br />
