<br />Resolution No. -11...- <br /> <br />Adopted July 19, 1955 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Roseville is one of Minnesota's most rapidly <br />and soundly expanding comn!uni ties, and <br /> <br />vmEREAS, the Lexington Development Conpany and S. J. Krannak presel'ltly <br />are oontemplating construction of a shoppin" center on the North side <br />of Larpenteur Avenue between Lexington and Fernwood Avenue in Roseville, <br />and <br /> <br />\AJHEHEAS, this project will benefit the community of Roseville, by <br />increasing the tax base, total employment potential, and general commercial <br />development, as well as expanding our comrnmity's overall payroll, and <br /> <br />IrrHEREAS, a septic tank system is the only praesentI'! available method of <br />sewage and waste disposal in the affected area and the Ninnesota <br />Department of Health has stated that such a system does not meet their <br />standarrls, and <br /> <br />'iJHEREft,S, O'lr community has been conducting a professional engineering <br />study for the past several months to determine the most adviAable <br />way in which our Village may obtain a per;: anent sewage disposal system, <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all indications are that this survey, when completed, may <br />reconunend that, for reasons of economy and convenience, Roseville ,join <br />the sewage disposal system of the Twin City Sanitary District, and <br /> <br />TrJHER"~AS, the City of Saint Paul has heretofore acivised the \Jilla~'e of Ro <br />Roseville th~t, upon submission of an appropriate sewage engineering <br />program and a. plan which our commUnity could adopt, so ~s to allow it <br />to ~onnect with existing s.<1nitary se1t1ap:e facilities, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that the engineering report may recommenrl such <br />a sewer connection between the Vil1a~e of Roseville and the City of <br />Saint Paul, and <br /> <br />WH~REAS, bec;:1use the City of Saint Pa!tl now has such adequate facilities <br />available for conne ction <l.t or near the proposed area at Larpenteur <br />~venue, and a complete permanent connection will be re~lested soon, it w <br />would seem logical and sesirable to grant this permission, and <br /> <br />1IIHEREAS, it is now necessRry for Roseville to take d.Ii1meriiate steps if the <br />community is to benefit from construction of t~is shopping center now <br />being considered, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such a lorge project will be a ma~or corrWiercial improvement not <br />only to RO'Jeville but to the entire county, <br />
