EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF TIlli VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, HELD ON APRIL 6, 1964 * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the Village Hall in said Village on April 6, 1964, at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Cedarholm, Trustees Curley, Goodrich, Grauel and Shields. and the following members were absent: None ~rember Goodrich introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. RESOLUTION NO. 940 A RESOLUTION DETERMINING TO ACQUIRE BY CONDEHNATION UNDER THE POWER OF EMINENT DOMAIN CERTAIN LANDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING AND MAINTAINING A PARK FOR THE VI LLAGE OF ROSEVILLE, AJ'JD DIRECTING THAT TIlE NECESSARY PROCEEDINGS BE INSTITUTED FOR SUCH PURPOSE. WHEREAS, the Village Council for the Village of Roseville deems it necessary and expedient and in the best interests of the Village and its inhabitants that the following described lands be acquired for park purposes for said Village; and WHEREAS, an election has been held within the Village to determine whether the Village should issue bonds for the purpose of financing a park system; and WHEREAS, the results of said election were to proceed with the sale of bonds for the purpose of acquiring parks; and WHEREAS, the Village Council has been advised by competent advisors and committees that the following described real property is desirable to acquire as a park; and WHEREAS, the Village has been unable to negotiate for the pur- pose of purchasing said lands; and WHEREAS, under the statutes of the State of Minnesota the Village has the power to take and acquire such property by power of eminent domain;
