MR. ROBERT RANDS, 295l North Cleveland: I have been out
there a long time and seen the water over Cleveland. If you
raise the level of Wilson pond you will have water on the west
side of Cleveland. When the o~unty was going to drain this
years ago, before they put in county ditch 5, they studied the
thing and the only drainage goes out under the freeway. I think
all you're going to do is create a lot of bigger ponds. I'm
against it. I don't think it will work.

MR. HONCHELL: Your observation of creating a lot of bigger
deeper ponds is right because we're not increasing the outlet
under the freeway.

MRS. CAROL EMANUELSON, 3115 Prior Circle: What I see hap-
pening is I'm draining fine now into the pond but somebody else
wants to develop down there which of course sends water up and
you want to (inaudible). It looks like to me (inaudible) that
pond which will come up to my back yard now, it looks like.
You're going to make that bigger and make water come up (inau-
dible) than now.

MR. HONCHELL: Yes and no. Yes, we're going to make the
pond considerably larger, particularly in regard to volume, than
it is right now. If you're on Prior Circle, your homes are in
this area. The pond is actually several hundred feet away over
straddling two different p~rcels - one is requested for devel-
opment and the other is owned by Mrs. Schultz which is vacant,
so the pond would not be at your home or near your home unless
you want to cross across the road and through another lot, but
it would not be - here's Prior Circle and I assume you live on
one of these homes on this side. Between your home and the pond
is another lot and a road and then the pond starts.

MRS. EMANUELSON: There's no road.

MR. HONCHELL: If this gets turned down there will never be
a road.

MRS. EMANUELSON: I just don't see where I benefit at all
from this and I guesD I resent being assessed $250 and it sounds
like more than that is what they're asking and it seems like the
people doing the developing - I guess you want homes and stuff
to go in there - I guess I feel those people instead of those of

lO
