MR. W. C. SCIWLZE, 3010 Cleveland: Where does the overflow
on that pond where it says north - where does that overflow go?

MR. HONCHELL: That is part of Langdon Lake and that water
flows towar~ Wilson pond. Tha t' s the outlet for t-ha ~-.

MR. SCHULZE: At C-2, doesn't it?

MR. HONCHELL: There's a little hill wi~-h a pipe 1-hrough
the hill.

MR. SCHULZE: Wha+ fills in that pond? Where does t-.he
water corne to fill that overflow into Wilson pond?

MR. HONCHELL: From an area north and sou-th of C-2 and a
li +t le bi t over on the ot:.her s ide of Fa irview and that area is
also in a feasibility st-udy which would be brough.... i-O the Coun-
cil this fall for another hearing.

MR. SCHULZE: Because I can't see us draining all their
water either because it looks like we're going to have to pay
for most of it.

MR. HONCHELL: Your assessment is not based on the actual
cost to the city. We have estimated this cost at about
$330,000. If the project cost $400,000 it would not be any
higher for your assessment. If it were less, your aSSessment
wouldn't: change. The assessment is based on a uniform s+andard
the city has followed for a number of years. I donit imagine
they would look (inaudible) so whether your water is or is not
a par~ of that really doesn't affect wha.~ your assessment will
be.

COUNCILMAN CURLEY:
like the peo?le over a+
for it because only 20%
on general taxes.

It means any improvement- ordered in -
Rice Stree"!" are actually helping pay
is being assessed and the o~her is going

COUNCILMAN GRAUEL: This is the same as any ot-her assess-
ment or improvement that has been placed in the community.
You've paid in general ~-axes for the improvements of 70% of the
properties which have been storm sewered. That-'s all part of
the taxes.

16
