EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF '!HE CITY COONCIL OF R)SEVILIE, MINNESOI'A - HElD APRIL 11, 1977 * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly called ani held at the City Hall in said City on MJnday, April 11, 1977, at 7 :30 P.M. The follaving rrembers were present: Mayor Denos, Councilrren Hess, Anderson, Curley and Grauel and the follaving were absent: None M:mber Hess and rroved its adoption: introduced the follaving resolution RESOLUTION NO. 6479 WHEREAS, the Lan:1 Water Conservation Fund Act and the State Natural Resources Fund provides for the making of grants to assist local public bodies in the acquisition am developnent of outdoor recreation projects: WHEREAS, the City of Roseville desires to acquire and develop certain lands knavn as Chatsworth Park which are to be held for public recreational use; WHEREAS, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 P.L. 88-354 (1964) and of the regulations prcm:tlgated pursuant to such Act by the Secretary of the Interior and contained in 43 C.F.R. 17, effectuating that title, provides that no person shall be discriminated against because of race, color, or national origin in the use of the land acquired and/or developed; WHEREAS, it is estimated that cost of acquiring and developing said interest shall be $ 200,000.00 NCW, 'IHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COONCIL OF THE CITY OF IDSEVILIE : 1. That an application be rrade to the Office of Local and Urban Affairs of the State Planning Agency for a grant from the National Resource fund (Minnesota Laws 1973, Chapter 720 Section 43, Subdivision 2, Par. (g) a (h), for an arrount presently estirrated to be $100 000.00 and the applicant will pay the balance ot' the cost from other funds available to it.
