MR. MORRISON: In the Open Space discussionso I think it was
determined th2t there's a storm sewer draino or Valley Park was,
in fact, drained. There's a drain that (inaudible) for storm
water. When then, would there be a need to further accommodate
storm water out of valley Park?

MR. HONCHELL: That's a culvert system that appears to be mal-
functioning, and not have adequ2lte depth to serve the area.

MR. MORRISON: Perhaps 15 ye2lrs ago there was st2lgn2lnt water
in Valley Fark and that drain system was opened up again and so it
exists open today and it drains effectively. Prior to that time it
was blocked, and you're suggeBting that it's inadequate and you
earlier said we had some of the hundred year storms.

MR. HONCHELL: I said it was 0esigned to carry hundred year
storms. I said it- would be my luck to have a big one right after
another one.

MR. 1-10RRISON: Th2t wa s my point - that there are 21 number of
people thc-t have had adequate drainage through a ~torm sewC'!ge
sy~tem that was re-established by the county some 10 or 15 years
ego, and now we're going to get a tax bill to, \vhat I guess, is
compliment that ~ystem. Is thct logical?

MR. HONCHELL: It's my opinion that sy~tem iq not adequate.

MR. MORRISON: With the pond?

MR. HONCHELL: It's not adequate now.

MR. MORRISON: Could you go into something further in your
opinion then, as to what the r.asis (inaUdible).

MR. HONCHELL: Calculations based on rainfalls, etc.

MR. MORRISON: What is the size of the existing storm sewer?

MR. HONCHELL: 12 inches.

MR. MORRISON: What size to drain the Lake Owass~ (inaudible)?

COUNCILMAN HESS: That dr2lin - are you assessed for that?

MR. MORRISON: That. wa.~ a county (inaudible).

-22-
