COUNCILMAN GRAUEL: Those are the people. It isn't
the City Council going out and petitioning for Ryan. It's
the people that live on the street and we wouldn't be here
tonight if it wouldn't be for petitions, and each one of
these petition applications were submitted by residents in
the City of Roseville, or there wouldn't be a public hearing
tonight.

MR. RODMAN: I still feel I'm being sold short or getting
shortchanged by this street when we don't need it. I'd
rather take my money and put it on my roof or something
instead of putting it out in the street.

MAYOR DEMOS: Anyone else that wishes to be heard?

MR. GORDON ROBIDEAUX, 1010. Ryan: I have one question to
ask the Council. You stated there were 57% of the people
asked for this. We have also had some people come up who did
sign this and at this time they've changed their minds.

MAYOR DEMOS: I only find one of the addresses that I
have here who signed "for" - so far there's only one that
says they're not for it and that's Gene Connors.

MR. ROBIDEAUX: Rudy Kessler at 993. So I'm wondering -
I heard your statement. Tell me if I'm wrong that we're not
allowed to change our minds one way or another.

COUNCILMAN GRAUEL: This is a public hearing, but there
was inference that was made that we're instigating this. We're
not instigating the public hearing.

MR. ROBIDEAtJX: We started out with 50%, but now we end
up with less than this. So one can change his mind.

COUNCILMAN GRAUEL: That's what the hearing is for.

MAYOR DEMOS: We're here because of the petition.

MR. SAM CAVE, 723 Terrace Drive: I also own the lot on
Shryer and Oxford. I wonder if the sewer and water couldn't
be extended from North Ryan to serve the property that's
presently undeveloped. Wouldn't that be a shorter distance
to extend the mains rather than off of Shryer.
