Extract of Minutes of Meeting
of City Council
City of Roseville
Ramsey County, Minnesota

March 20, 1978

Idd. ~, 02 ;L
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting
of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was
held in the City Hall in said City on Honday, March 20, 1978,
at 7:30 o'clock p.m.

The following members were present: Mayor Demos and
Councilmen Rehr, Franke, Anderson and Curley; and the following
were absent: None.

Also present were Hr. James F. Andre, City r1anageri Roger
Jensen, City Attorney; Charles Honchel1, City Public Works
Director; and Peter S. Popovich, City Bond Consultant.

. . . . . .

MAYOR DEMOS: We now have Improvement 77-27 - Marion and
Woodbridge north of Transit, Transit from Galtier to Rice.
Sanitary sewer, watermain, bituminous surfacing, curb and gutter.

MR. At
that time, the petition was done so that the development could
take place which would provide for commercial use on the Rice
Street frontage, R-4 development in the center portion of the
land, and single family use in the western portion of the site.
At a recent Council meeting this land was rezoned for commercial
R-4, and continued the single family residential zoning near
Galtier. In order for that land to be developed it's necessary
for storm drains, sanitary sewers, watermains and streets to be
constructed.

This will be somewhat confusing, I'm afraid, to some of
you, so I'll try to go through it slowly, and if you have any
questions at the conclusion, don't feel badly about asking what
did you say when you wandered through this. It's a very com-
plex presentation.

The first part starts off easily. Right now there are
sanitary sewers that exist along Galtier to approximately one
home past Ga1tier Circle at this location. The proposal would
