On the watermain cost, the total construction cost is
$21,270 and that will come out at $9.59 a foot.

Then, the water services, whether one inch or two inch,
for 24 services at one inch is $7,800 or $325 for the service.
For the two inch service, there are 10, which would be roughly
$5,200 for $519 per service.

The street and the cul-de-sac only portion is $71,996,
and will cost some $32.46 a front foot.

Now, if you move over to 3A or B, depending on whether you
go the 7 ton and the 9 ton, or the complete 7 ton, the cost
of the 7 ton street is $l26,596. The cost of the 7 ton - 9
ton is $129,343. Now, the paving cost - let's take the most
expensive which would be the $129,000 - the paving cost which
would be allocated to the residential portion of the plat comes
out to $86,832 total which will come out to $40.89 a foot. The
remainder of Transit then costs $42,000, or a front footage
cost of $29.04. The assessment policy then would be 22% of
the actual cost, and the engineering department is recommending
that single family lots be $6.39 per foot, and the proposed
larger lots at $29.04 a front foot on that more expensive
street program.

If you want the rate if you go for a fully 7 ton street,
the single family is $5.98 a foot, and the duplex lots $27.16,
and the business property, so depending on what alternates you
use, and what combination you put together, that will depend
on what the total cost will be and, Obviously, we will recom-
mend that it be spread over the 20 year period with an 8%
carrying charge to be collected along with real estate taxes
as has been the past practice.

MAYOR DEMOS: Are there any statements?

MR. ANDRE: There are no letters.

~mYOR DEMOS: At this time I will open the hearing to
the public. May I say that each speaker is to come to the
microphone, identify him or herself and the street address to
which you're referring. The hearing is open at this time.

MR. SAM CAVE, 723 Terrace Drive, and I own the property
900 feet along Transit and 600 feet along Rice. I guess I
didn't hear the difference between Alternate 2 and 3. How
much does paving Transit (inaudible).

MR. HONCHELL: One alternative for doing Transit Avenue
is estimated to cost approximately $72,000. That's the 7 ton.
The second one is estimated to cost $86,800 roughly.

5
