EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF FWSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD MAY 22, 1978 * * * * * * '* Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regulur meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall in said City on r-bnday, May 22, 1978, at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Acting Mayor CUrley, CouncilnEn Anderson, Franke and Kehr. and the following members were absent: Mayor ~s Member Anderson moved its adoption: introduced the following Resolution and RESOLUTION NO. 6655 A RESOLUTION DETERMINING TO ACQUIRE BY CONDEMNATION UNDER THE POWER OF EMINENT DOMAIN PERMANENT AND TEMPORARY EASEMENTS ACROSS AND UNDER CERTAIN LANDS FOR THE PURPOSES OF CONSTRUCTING, MAINTAINING AND OPERATING UNDERGROUND UTILITY MAINS, PIPES AND APPURTENANCES FOR THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, AND THAT THE NECESSARY PROCEEDINGS BE COMPLETED FOR SAID PURPOSES, AS A PART OF IMPROVEMENT 77-14: WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Roseville has been advised by competent advisers and committees that it is feasible to construct and maintain underground utility mains, pipes and appurtenances; and WHEREAS, The City Council deems it necessary and expedient and in the best interest of the City to acquire permanent and temporary easements across and under certain land for the above purposes; and WHEREAS, under the statutes of the State of Minnesota, the City has the power to take and acquire said property by condemnation under the power of eminent domain; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: The City Council of the City of Roseville hereby deems it necessary and expedient that the City acquire permanent and temporary easements across the property described in the attached Petition in Condemnation.
