MAIZEL
parking?

Which side of the road would have the

MR. HONCHELL: That has not been decided and is one of the
points we would be happy to get input on from the citizens tonight.
It will not b e ultimately determined because we will have to meet
with St. Anthony and mutually agree.

MRS. MAIZEL

What will the speed limit be?

MR. HONCHELL: It will be unchanged. It's unmarked, which is
30 miles an hour.

MRS. MAIZEL Whichever side does get the parking, how
many parking signs - have you decided where they will be - at
corners - you know, no parking this side, or what?

MR. HONCHELL: Whichever side the parking is banned on there
will be a series of signs indicating no parking at any time.

MRS. MAIZEL

Okay, I'm for parking on Roseville then.

MR. CAROLL DAGE, 3090 Highcrest: My question, or concern,
is one of lowering the speed limit. Highcrest is a speed track.
Are there any plans for any traffic control mechanisms once it's
resurfaced - lights or stop signs or rims in the road or
something to slow down the traffic?

MR. HONCHELL: To the best of my knowledge it's 30 miles now
which is the minimum in the state, and cities do not have either
the happy ability or unhappy ability of being able to establish
their own speed limits. They are set by the state. What they do is
come out and they monitor the traffic. They don't ticket, but take
shots on the cars to find out how much they're travelling. They
normally set that speed limit at about 85% of what the cars are
actually traveling. The thing to watch is if the cars are going
40 and they come out and they do this study, they may up that limit
to 40. That's why we caution people when they request (inaudible)
the state would not normally lower it but if we request a review
they might raise it to 35 or 40. As far as rims or bumps in the
road, we feel that's a safety hazard. The stop signs are something
that we would review probably after we put it in because we would
want to see the effect it mayor may not have on the traffic. All I
can say is we would be happy to review that when it opens and begins
to get used. We don't want to see it turned into a race-track any
more than you do.

MR.ALLEN BRADWAY, 3024 Highcrest: I was wondering if there are
any plans for the feeder streets bHighcrest for repair or resurfacing -
more specifically, Lydia.
