2

necessary to extend out into the intersections to accommodate
the aesthetics and working ability of the particular roadway.

MR. POPOVICH: The total cost of this project is $38,881.
The special assessments are $11,246, and general taxes $27,634.

The assessments and the taxes will be spread over a 20 year
period of time with 8% carrying charge.

Your attEntion is called to the street assessment. If it
were 100% assessed it would be $164.47 a foot, but because of the
policy of assessing a smaller amount, that's figured at $41.11
a front foot. The street portion is a greater portion of the
cost. $7,506 will be raised by the street assessments, and
the water and sanitary sewer services will make up the difference
to $11,246.

MR. ANDRE: There are no written communications.

Mayor Demos announced that the meeting was open for the
consideration of objections, if any, to the proposed assessment.
All persons present were then given the opportunity to present
oral objections.

No one appeared to be heard.

Mayor Demos closed the hearing, and Councilman Kehr introduced
the following resolution anddmoved its adoption:

RESOLUTION NO. 6885

RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND CONFIRMING
ASSESSMENTS FOR IMPROVEt1ENT NO.
