International Institute); determination if there was a critical mass unable to access other <br />resources prior to expending taxpayer monies; and the need to meet the needs of the City of <br />Roseville's citizenship. <br />Commissioner Oftelie asked Commissioners to provide additional comments and questions for <br />her follow -up conversation; while each could review existing resources and gaps in resources, or <br />provide a list of resources that could be easily accessed by residents. <br />Police Department Policies PRIVATE <br />City Manager Malinen reviewed an e -mail provided by the City Attorney's office regarding <br />dissemination boundaries in the non public Police Department policies. Mr. Malinen noted that <br />the policies were provided to the HRC, in their advisory role to the City Council only for the <br />purpose of discussion within the HRC; and were protected by State Statute data privacy <br />provisions related to maintaining the operational and procedural safety of law enforcement <br />personnel without compromising them while carrying out their duties. <br />Commissioners concurred that they would discuss the policies at a future meeting. <br />Ms. Curti left the meeting at this time; 8:05 p.m. <br />Chair Delmore noted that in the past the HRC didn't meet in July; however, consensus was that <br />they would schedule a meeting in July. <br />Books for Schools <br />Chair Delmore noted that former Commissioner Bosch had taken the lead in coordinating the <br />book kits for schools and asked Commissioners how they wanted to proceed with the project. <br />After a brief discussion, Chair Delmore said she would e -mail Ms. Bosch to determine the status <br />of the project, school contacts and expectations of the schools. <br />Other <br />Chair Delmore reviewed topics for the July agenda including updates on the Housing Ordinance, <br />Diversity Forum and Police Department Policies <br />Commissioner McKenzie noted other information in the agenda packet; specifically the <br />upcoming state -wide HRC meetings and registration information. <br />Adjournment <br />Commissioner Venters moved and Commissioner McGehee seconded adjournment of the <br />meeting at 8:12 p.m. Motion carried 5/0. <br />
