Commissioner Oftelie asked Commissioners to provide additional comments and questions for her follow -up conversation; while each could review existing resources and gaps in resources, or provide a list of resources that could be easily accessed by residents. Police Department Policies PRIVATE City Manager Malinen reviewed an e -mail provided by the City Attorney's office regarding dissemination boundaries in the non public Police Department policies. Mr. Malinen noted that the policies were provided to the HRC, in their advisory role to the City Council only for the purpose of discussion within the HRC; and were protected by State Statute data privacy provisions related to maintaining the operational and procedural safety of law enforcement personnel without compromising them while carrying out their duties. Commissioners concurred that they would discuss the policies at a future meeting. Ms. Curti left the meeting at this time; 8:05 p.m. Chair Delmore noted that in the past the HRC didn't meet in July; however, consensus was that they would schedule a meeting in July. Books for Schools Chair Delmore noted that former Commissioner Bosch had taken the lead in coordinating the book kits for schools and asked Commissioners how they wanted to proceed with the project. After a brief discussion, Chair Delmore said she would e -mail Ms. Bosch to determine the status of the project, school contacts and expectations of the schools. Other Chair Delmore reviewed topics for the July agenda including updates on the Housing Ordinance, Diversity Forum and Police Department Policies Commissioner McKenzie noted other information in the agenda packet; specifically the upcoming state -wide HRC meetings and registration information. Adjournment Commissioner Venters moved and Commissioner McGehee seconded adjournment of the meeting at 8:12 p.m. Motion carried 5/0.
