Other Business
873
Discussion of draft EMPLOYMENT DISTRICTS section of the Zoning Code Update in
874
preparation for a public hearing on the same chapter at the August Planning Commission
875
meeting.
876
Mr. Paschke asked members to review of the document and provide their
877
comments/concerns to staff at their earliest convenience, noting that this specific district
878
was on the August docket.
879
Mr. Paschke indicated that the Commission consider scheduling several special meetings
880
during August and September for public hearings to dispense with the specific zoning
881
district work to regulate all created zones and in order to provide sufficient debate and
882
discussion, with the process running slightly behind schedule at this time, and the desire
883
to avoid a critical time crunch for making recommendation to the City Council. Mr.
884
Paschke noted the need to allow time to hear land use cases coming before the
885
Commission during the next few months.
886
Chair Doherty suggested attempting the third or fourth Wednesday of August and
887
September for those special meetings; and tasked individual members with reviewing
888
their schedules to determine their availability and to advise staff accordingly by e-mail.
889
Mr. Paschke advised that he would select optional dates and secure the City Council
890
Chambers.
891
nd
Mr. Paschke advised that there would be another Public Hearing at the 2 meeting in
892
August to consider two (2) additional zoning district chapters; with staff’s goal to get those
893
chapters to members in advance of the meeting agenda packet materials to allow them
894
sufficient review time.
895
8. Adjourn
896
Chair Doherty adjourned the meeting at approximately 10:50 p.m.
897
